New Teflon® High Bond (HB) Tape from CS Hyde has all the benefits of Teflon: great dielectric strength, non-stick, chemical and water resistant. Plus it has a super-High Bond Adhesive. Teflon® High Bond is an excellent choice for applications which require adhesion to difficult-to-bond, low surface energy surfaces like plastics, powder-coats, foams, and oily metals. Teflon® High Bond Tape even sticks to slippery surfaces like Teflon® PTFE, acrylic, PE, UHMW, polypropylene, PET, etc.
High Bond Adhesive is a high-strength, high tack, chemical-resistant acrylic product. The bond strength of this adhesive increases with time and temperature. High humidity has minimal effect on adhesive performance. In general, bond strength is higher after exposure for 7 days at 90°F and 90% relative humidity.
Teflon® High Bond Tape is water resistant. It can be immersed in water with no appreciable effect on the bond strength, which generally tends to increase after exposure to humidity, temperature, and cycling. This tape resists many chemicals: gasoline, oil, Freon™ TF, sodium chloride solution, mild acid and alkalis, and more. Teflon® HB Tape is UV and weather resistant for use indoors or outdoors. Film is FDA and USDA approved for food contact and is RoHS compliant. Temperature range is -40° to +300°F.
Teflon® High Bond Tape is available in many film thicknesses: 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.06, 0.09, and 0.125 in. Adhesive is 0.002 in. thick. Standard widths are 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 6, and 12 in., with max width of 36 in. Rolls are 5 yards long. Custom widths, thicknesses, and lengths are also available. CS Hyde Co. can custom die-cut Teflon® HB into labels, discs, squares, etc. Send a drawing if you have a custom shape in mind.
Tape is off white with peel-off tan polycoated kraft paper liner. Teflon® High Bond can be die cut, scissor cut, knife cut, or sheeted.
