Building block components comprising 3 series of 42 mm dia pipe, 15 metal connecting joints, and 3 accessories for use with the new pipe size are now available for the Creform System. The larger diameter pipe augments Creform's existing series of 28 mm pipe, providing users with a structural member that, over comparable lengths, is approximately 2.5 times stronger than the standard pipe.
In practical applications, the extended range of loading means structural spans within workstations or racks, carts, and other material handling devices can be made longer with less bracing and support. Shorter spans can hold greater amounts.
Pipe selections in the 42 mm series include a general purpose pipe and an ESD antistatic-rated pipe. Also available is a yellow with black spiral high-visibility pipe with additional wall thickness suited for safety railings, guarding, and barrier applications.
Joint options include connections for joining 42 mm pipes into T configurations, 3-, 4-, and 5-pipe corners, and adjustable angle connections. Several joint selections allow interfacing 28 mm and 42 mm pipe sections into single structures to maximize strength, economies, and access to available components. Accessories include pipe end caps, end plugs, casters, and stanchion mounts.
The Creform System is a series of plastic-coated steel pipes, joints, fixtures, and hardware accessories that can be designed and fabricated by users, operators, and assemblers into a host of multitask handling structures. The system is a major component in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs.
