Though known for their dependable long life, tens of thousands of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting fixtures have been in constant use for decades and are now beyond their useful life. With EYE Lighting’s new Fixture Analyzer Kit, maintenance personnel can now quickly identify aged HID fixtures, saving time and money.
Once they have exceeded their useful life, fixtures can no longer provide the minimum current and voltage required to operate lamps properly, causing the lamps to cycle on and off, or simply fail to start a short time after installation. As a result, personnel may repeatedly replace burned-out lamps when the real cause of failure is the fixture itself.
EYE Lighting’s Fixture Analyzer Kit features a Test Socket Adapter (with safety lead connectors) that screws into the fixture socket, allowing maintenance personnel to safely perform the test without reaching into the wiring box with test probes while the fixture is energized. Actual testing typically takes less than two minutes. A hard-shell carrying case protects the meter and serves as a storage container to keep all of the components together.
